Working within EMEA Corporate Technology, AMD (Architecture, Middleware, Development) is responsible for designing, developing and supporting technology solutions for multiple business areas, and for providing core technology services across the organisation.
The Low Code Solutions team within AMD’s Digital Delivery pillar is responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting solutions built with Power Platform, Microsoft 365 and Copilot Studio. The team is also responsible for providing the environment and resources needed for citizen developers to build their own skills and business solutions.
ROLE, SCOPE and REPORTING STRUCTURE
Reporting to the Low Code Solutions Team Lead, you will provide architectural and technical leadership across solutions built using Power Platform, Microsoft 365 and Copilot Studio. You will work closely with business stakeholders, the Digital Transformation (DX) team, developers and technology control functions to understand requirements and translate them into secure, repeatable, supportable and appropriately governed solutions.
You will conduct technical reviews, produce and assure solution documentation, and guide solutions through relevant governance and approval processes. You will take a leading role in defining the team’s architectural standards, platform governance, guardrails and configuration principles.
As a trusted technical leader, you will communicate complex concepts clearly, facilitate discussions with business and technology stakeholders, demonstrate proposed and delivered solutions, and support wider adoption and citizen-development initiatives.
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Provide architectural leadership and technical assurance for low-code solutions and platform capabilities across the EMEA region, primarily using Power Platform, Microsoft 365 and Copilot Studio. Ensure that solutions meet business requirements and comply with enterprise architecture, security, data, AI governance, operational resilience and supportability standards throughout their lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Delivery and Support
- Collaborate closely with DX and business stakeholders to understand requirements, input to and help prioritise the opportunity pipeline and to define success measures.
- Lead the design and evaluate technology options, making clear recommendations based on business value, cost, risk, strategic alignment and long-term supportability.
- Provide architectural oversight and leadership for the build, test, deployment and maintenance of the low code solutions using Power Platform, Microsoft 365 and Copilot Studio.
- Produce and assure solution documentation, conduct technical reviews and guide developers to ensure solutions remain aligned with the approved architecture and relevant standards.
- Take solutions through applicable governance and assurance processes, including Architecture Review Board (ARB), Secure by Design (SbD), Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA) and the AI Governance (AIG) Board, coordinating submissions and resolving review actions.
- Ensure delivery follows MUFG’s Systems Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) and meets the required standards for technical assurance, quality, release readiness and transition into support.
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities to use AI, agentic capabilities and automation across the delivery lifecycle, support and governance activities to improve efficiency and quality.
- Provide leadership and oversight for the team’s support activities, ensuring appropriate support artefacts are maintained, a high-quality customer-focused service is delivered, and acting as the technical escalation point for complex incidents.
- Work with DX and business owners to track outcomes, costs and return on investment, using evidence to improve, scale or rethink solutions as appropriate.

Platform Governance and Citizen Development
- Lead the design and evolution of Power Platform and Copilot Studio governance, guardrails and configuration standards.
- Define and maintain architecture principles, reference architectures, reusable patterns, development standards and quality controls for low-code and agent-based solutions.
- Define and oversee platform controls covering environment strategy, platform settings, access and security, data loss prevention, connector governance, application lifecycle management, deployment, monitoring, capacity and solution lifecycle management.
- Work with platform administrators, security, architecture and other control functions to implement and periodically review platform settings and governance controls.
- Enable citizen developers through guidance, training, reusable resources, identifying where higher-risk or business-critical solutions require remediation or transition into centrally managed delivery and support.
Risk and Compliance
- Ensure all activity complies with applicable policies, procedures, standards and controls, including change-management and privileged production-access requirements.
- Identify and communicate architectural, security, operational and delivery risks, ensuring they are appropriately documented, mitigated or escalated.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Functional / Technical Competencies:
Essential:
- 8+ years’ experience in technology leading delivery of low-code solutions on the Microsoft platform, ideally as a Solution Architect.
- Expert knowledge of at least one core Power Platform technology, with strong working knowledge across several relevant technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Copilot Studio, Power BI, SharePoint and Microsoft 365 Copilot.
- Experience of structured systems development lifecycle (SDLC), including Secure by Design (SbD), Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA).
- Good understanding of security, privacy, platform and data governance and responsible AI relevant to low-code solutions in a global financial services organisation or equivalent regulated industry.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts, understand business requirements and engage effectively with business stakeholders.
- Experience enabling citizen developers with appropriate governance and community support.
- Ability to design and operate Power Platform application lifecycle management, deployment and governance practices.
Preferred:
- Experience building solutions using Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility, AI Builder and/or agentic AI capabilities.
- Experience of providing effective 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line support across multiple business areas.
- Expert in configuring and using Jira and Confluence for high-performing agile teams.
- Experience defining measurable outcomes and assessing return on investment.
- Experience using GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development capabilities to accelerate requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, documentation, deployment and support.
Education / Qualifications:
- Degree-educated in Computer Science or a related discipline, and / or equivalent experience.
- Relevant Microsoft Power Platform, Agent or AI certifications desirable.
