Vice President, Private Credit

Location: London, United Kingdom
Compensation: Competitive and Negotiable

We are partnering with a leading private credit platform seeking to appoint a Vice President to its London investment team. This is an opportunity to join a growing and highly active investor focused on delivering flexible capital solutions to private equity-backed and corporate borrowers across Europe.

The successful candidate will play a key role in evaluating, underwriting, executing, and monitoring investments while working closely with senior investment professionals, sponsors, management teams, and advisors.

Candidate Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience within Private Credit or Leveraged Finance
  • Strong understanding of credit investing, debt structures, and leveraged transactions
  • Proven experience analysing and executing debt transactions across sponsor-backed and non-sponsored situations
  • Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and credit underwriting skills
  • Strong commercial judgement and ability to assess risk-adjusted returns
  • Experience interacting with private equity sponsors, management teams, banks, and advisors
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic background

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of private credit transactions from initial screening through to closing
  • Build and review detailed financial models and credit analyses
  • Conduct commercial, financial, and operational due diligence
  • Prepare investment committee papers and recommendations
  • Evaluate capital structures, risk profiles, and downside protection
  • Monitor portfolio investments and support portfolio management activities
  • Develop relationships with private equity sponsors, investment banks, and other market participants
  • Support the origination of new investment opportunities
