Vice President | Financial Sponsors Coverage | London: We are partnering with a leading international bank that is continuing to invest in and expand its Financial Sponsors franchise in London. As part of this growth, the team is looking to appoint a Vice President to help drive sponsor coverage efforts, deepen private equity relationships, and originate financing opportunities across the market. This opportunity is particularly well-suited to candidates from a Leveraged Finance background looking to transition into a broader, client-facing coverage role with increased exposure to origination, relationship management, and strategic dialogue with leading financial sponsors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies.
- Identify and originate opportunities across acquisition finance, leveraged finance, capital markets, and broader corporate banking products.
- Lead the preparation and delivery of client presentations, strategic reviews, and marketing materials.
- Coordinate deal execution alongside internal product partners and external advisers.
- Support senior relationship bankers in managing key sponsor accounts while gradually assuming greater ownership of client relationships.
- Monitor market activity, sponsor portfolios, and transaction pipelines to identify new business opportunities.
- Mentor and support junior team members, including Analysts and Associates.

Candidate Profile:
- 5-10 years of experience within Leveraged Finance, Acquisition Finance or Sponsor Coverage.
- Strong understanding of sponsor-backed transactions, LBOs, refinancing processes, and acquisition financings.
- Demonstrated experience managing workstreams and interacting directly with clients, sponsors, and advisers.
- Excellent financial analysis, credit assessment, and transaction execution capabilities.
- Strong commercial judgement and relationship-building skills.
- Ambition to move into a more origination-focused and client-centric role.
