At BNY, our Sustainability Hub helps shape how the firm responds to a rapidly evolving sustainability and climate regulatory landscape. We are seeking a Vice President, Regulatory Strategy & Execution, to play a key role in defining and delivering BNY's sustainability regulatory agenda across EMEA and globally.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape regulatory strategy at one of the world's leading financial institutions. Working closely with senior leaders across Sustainability, Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance and the business, you will influence decision-making, drive regulatory readiness, and help translate emerging requirements into practical and effective solutions.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead the development and execution of BNY's sustainability and climate regulatory strategy across EMEA, helping the firm respond effectively to evolving disclosure and regulatory requirements while maintaining alignment with global frameworks such as IFRS S1, IFRS S2, and TCFD.
- Provide strategic insight and regulatory expertise on key developments, including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, UK Sustainability Reporting Standards, prudential climate requirements and other emerging sustainability regulations affecting the financial services sector.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Sustainability, Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Investor Relations and regional leadership teams to assess impacts, establish priorities and coordinate implementation activities.
- Shape high-quality sustainability disclosures and reporting strategies, ensuring alignment with global frameworks including IFRS S1, IFRS S2 and TCFD, while supporting strong governance, controls and regulatory compliance.
- Identify opportunities to enhance reporting quality, data integrity and execution efficiency through process improvement, automation and the responsible adoption of AI-enabled solutions.

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Bring
- Experience leading sustainability, regulatory, prudential, risk or disclosure-related initiatives within financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of the evolving sustainability and climate regulatory landscape, including disclosure frameworks and emerging developments affecting global financial institutions.
- Ability to assess the strategic, operational and governance implications of regulatory change, translating complex requirements into clear business priorities, implementation plans and practical solutions.
- Strong commercial and strategic acumen, with an understanding of how sustainability, regulatory and risk developments influence business strategy, governance, decision-making and stakeholder expectations across financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, build alignment across diverse functions and lead complex cross-functional initiatives in a highly matrixed organisation.
- Excellent analytical, communication and judgement skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information, provide credible challenge and communicate clear recommendations to senior management and governance forums.
- Experience strengthening controls, documentation and assurance-ready processes; familiarity with sustainability data, digital tools, automation and emerging AI-enabled capabilities is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in sustainability, finance, accounting, economics, law, public policy or a related field.
