Vice President – Technology M&A (London)
A leading US mid-market investment bank is scaling its London Technology M&A franchise and is seeking a Vice President with 6+ years of M&A / corporate finance experience.
You’ll take full ownership of live mandates — from origination and pitch leadership through to execution, due diligence, and closing — while acting as a trusted adviser to founders, management teams, and private equity sponsors.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions for European tech companies (£50m–£500m deal sizes)
- Drive origination: identify opportunities, develop pitch ideas, and build relationships with founders, PE firms, and strategic buyers.
- Oversee financial modelling, valuation, and transaction structuring (DCF, LBO, merger/contribution, accretion/dilution, comps).
- Manage CIMs, management presentations, and pitchbooks; present directly to C-suite executives and investment committees.
- Run due diligence processes, coordinate with legal/accounting advisers, and lead buyer/seller negotiations.
- Mentor and develop Associates and Analysts; ensure high-quality, timely delivery across multiple concurrent deals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
