Join the Healthcare coverage team at one of the world's leading investment banks, advising the sector's most active corporates, sponsors and management teams across M&A, capital markets and strategic advisory. The team sits at the center of a Tier 1 platform, giving Healthcare bankers full access to global distribution, capital markets execution and cross border M&A capability that boutique and mid market shops simply cannot match. With a client base spanning pharma, biotech, medtech, healthcare services and life sciences, the group is one of the busiest and most senior dense franchises on the Street, and a Vice President here sits close to every live mandate rather than buried under it.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Vice President to join the Healthcare Investment Banking team in London as a senior execution lead and a primary point of client contact across a defined set of coverage relationships. This is a deal leadership seat on one of the bank's flagship sector franchises, which means direct exposure to Managing Directors on every live mandate, real input into deal strategy and positioning, and the platform and resourcing that only a Tier 1 bank can offer. You will run live transactions day to day, manage analyst and associate teams through execution, and act as the connective tissue between senior bankers and clients from pitch through to close. You will also build your own standing within the sector, since Healthcare relationships are long dated and a VP who earns trust early becomes the client's first call as they progress toward Director.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day to day execution on M&A, IPO, follow on and debt capital markets transactions across the Healthcare sector, from initial analysis through signing and close.
  • Own the workstream management for live deals, coordinating analysts, associates and cross product specialists to keep transactions on schedule and on strategy.
  • Serve as a primary client contact on active mandates, managing the flow of information, materials and diligence between the bank and client teams.
  • Build and refine financial models, valuation analyses and transaction materials to a Tier 1 standard, and take ownership of the technical accuracy underpinning every client deliverable.
  • Support senior bankers on pitches and new business development, including sector mapping, comparable transaction analysis and positioning for target clients.
  • Mentor and develop junior bankers, setting the execution standard for analysts and associates on your deals.
  • Maintain deep sector knowledge across pharma, biotech, medtech and healthcare services, tracking regulatory, clinical and competitive developments that shape client strategy.
  • Manage internal processes including committee approvals, compliance requirements and risk sign offs across live transactions.

What We're Looking For

  • Typically 5 to 8 years in investment banking, with meaningful transaction experience in Healthcare, life sciences or a closely related sector.
  • Demonstrable ownership of deal execution, including live experience running workstreams and managing junior teams under deadline pressure.
  • Strong technical grounding in M&A and capital markets processes, with the modeling and valuation skills to hold your own with senior bankers and clients alike.
  • Existing familiarity with the Healthcare sector landscape in Europe, or the aptitude and network to build sector depth quickly.
  • Comfort operating across complex, high stakes transactions with multiple workstreams and stakeholders running in parallel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the presence to represent the bank directly in front of clients.
  • Degree educated, with a preference for candidates holding relevant professional qualifications (CFA or equivalent is an advantage).
  • Right to work in the UK, or eligibility to be sponsored.

Why Join?

  • Tier 1 platform, so you are executing alongside a global distribution and capital markets machine that boutique and independent shops cannot replicate.
  • Daily exposure to senior bankers and live mandates, with a defined path toward Director on one of the bank's most active sector franchises.
  • A sector with structural tailwinds, meaning a deep and growing pipeline of M&A and capital markets activity across pharma, biotech and healthcare services.
  • Institutional grade training, resourcing and brand behind every pitch and every deal, giving you the platform to build a career defining sector specialism.
  • A seat where deal reps and client relationships compound directly into your own market reputation, not just the bank's.
