About the Role

We are currently seeking a Vice President to join our growing team.

The Vice President (VP) plays a lead role on their accounts, with key responsibilities outlined below. Expected to demonstrate exceptional media relations skills, they will also manage multiple projects and people. As a leader and ambassador for the agency, the VP should mentor and inspire their junior team members and peers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Demonstrate the ability to create and present multi-dimensional strategic media relations campaigns and showcase results to clients
  • Use media contacts to secure effective/impactful media results, conduct media training sessions, and participate in media interviews with clients
  • Guide and enhance the media relations skills of junior employees
  • Serve as senior strategic counsel and day-to-day client contact for a client portfolio
  • Take a supporting role in crisis management situations
  • Exhibit an expert understanding of PR craft, as well as their client’s business, business plan, industry, and competitive environment
  • Demonstrate an interest in and ability to grasp financial operations of Prosek as an agency, understanding the business model and profitability dynamics
  • Oversee all written materials created by the account team and presented to the clients and media
  • Craft compelling new business and client presentations, mentoring junior staff on writing and presentation skills
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations, with the ability to clearly and confidently communicate with internal and external teams
  • Serve as a speaker at industry forums or act as a panelist at gatherings with potential new business prospects
  • Be an inspirational mentor and senior counsel to your staff
  • Manage and staff account teams, ensuring engagement and performance feedback—recognising and rewarding staff achievements
  • Support senior managers and practice leaders in employer career training, development, and advancement

What Makes You Qualified?

  • 10–12 years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
  • Strategic Communications experience (preferably in an agency) across one or more of the following sectors:
    • Financial services
    • Professional services
    • Technology
    • B2B communications
