The Victims and Witnesses Commissioner for Scotland’s Role

The Victims and Witnesses Commissioner for Scotland’s role is to promote and support the rights and interests of victims and witnesses in Scotland. This includes raising awareness of victims and witnesses and promoting best practice and a trauma-informed approach by criminal justice bodies and those who provide support services to victims.

About the Role

This is a new high-profile appointment. We are looking for a talented individual who has drive, integrity, credibility, resilience, and excellent communication skills to be the inaugural Victims and Witnesses Commissioner for Scotland.

Appointment Details

  • Term: Fixed term of up to 8 years
  • Salary: Starting salary of £96,353
  • Pension: Pensionable through the Civil Service Pension Schemes
