Position: VFX Artist / 3D Animator
Type: Contract
Compensation: $50 - $90/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week
Role Responsibilities
- Review video footage of robotic arms performing tasks, following detailed annotation and grading guidelines.
- Identify and label motion, object interactions, spatial changes, task outcomes, and errors within video segments.
- Apply understanding of animation, transforms, trajectories, timing, occlusion, and physical behavior to interpret activity.
- Use dedicated annotation tools to tag video content precisely and consistently.
- Flag visual anomalies, tracking challenges, or ambiguous moments and explain observations in concise written notes.
- Contribute to quality control by reviewing annotations and providing constructive feedback.

Requirements
- Professional or academic background in visual effects, 3D animation, motion graphics, technical art, or computer graphics.
- Strong understanding of motion, timing, spatial relationships, object tracking, occlusion, and visual continuity.
- Familiarity with tools such as Blender, Maya, Houdini, Cinema 4D, Nuke, After Effects, or similar software.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when identifying subtle motion changes, visual artifacts, or inconsistencies.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to describe visual observations and edge cases clearly.
