Daz In The Hat Radio CIC Video Creator

Daz In The Hat Radio CIC seeks an experienced Video Creator to manage YouTube and TikTok. Create engaging content, promote presenters and showcase grassroots, unsigned artists. Must be creative, reliable and passionate about supporting independent music.

The Video Creator role will significantly strengthen Daz In The Hat Radio’s online presence and help the station reach new audiences worldwide. By producing engaging, high-quality video content for YouTube and TikTok, this role ensures that the station’s shows, presenters, and the unsigned artists we support are showcased in a professional, compelling way.

  • Short-form and long-form videos will attract more viewers, increase followers and subscribers, and drive engagement across social media platforms.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a creative and committed volunteer with at least three years’ experience in video creation, editing, or social media content production. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong technical skills Proficiency with video editing software and tools for both short-form and long-form content.
  • Creativity and initiative Ability to produce engaging, eye-catching videos that reflect the station’s ethos and appeal to diverse audiences.
  • Passion for music A genuine interest in grassroots and unsigned music and a desire to help promote emerging artists.
  • Organisational skills Ability to plan, schedule, and manage content across multiple platforms, meeting deadlines consistently.
  • Collaboration and communication Comfortable working with presenters, volunteers, and artists to produce content that represents their work and the station’s values.
  • Awareness of trends Understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and audience engagement strategies to maximise reach.
  • Attention to detail Ensuring high-quality visuals, accurate captions, consistent branding, and professional presentation.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to combine technical expertise with creativity while making a real impact in a community-focused radio station. Volunteers will gain valuable experience in digital media, content strategy, and audience engagement, while helping Daz In The Hat Radio CIC grow its online presence and support independent artists worldwide.

What will you be doing?

As a Video Creator for Daz In The Hat Radio CIC, you’ll be at the heart of bringing our station to life online. Your work will help showcase our volunteers, presenters, and most importantly, the unsigned artists we champion. You’ll manage and grow our YouTube and TikTok channels, creating content that grabs attention, entertains, and inspires audiences worldwide.

Your main tasks will include:

  • Creating engaging videos Turn radio shows, interviews, artist sessions, and behind-the-scenes moments into exciting short-form and long-form videos for YouTube and TikTok. Highlight reels, show snippets, artist features, and promotional clips will all be part of your toolkit.
  • Editing and producing content Use your skills to make content visually appealing, on-brand, and polished. You’ll ensure audio and video sync, captions are clear, and each piece tells a story.
  • Planning and scheduling Work with the team to plan content calendars, coordinate recordings, and make sure content goes live at the right time to reach audiences.
  • Channel management Upload videos, add descriptions, hashtags, and thumbnails, and monitor analytics to see what works best. You’ll help guide the station’s video strategy based on audience engagement.
  • Collaboration Work closely with presenters, volunteers, and artists to ensure content represents the station’s vision and supports their work.

You’ll also stay on top of trends in social media and video content, helping the station stay fresh, engaging, and relevant. Your creativity and passion for grassroots music will make a real difference by giving unsigned artists a platform to reach new listeners.

This role is perfect if you want hands-on experience in video production, social media management, and digital promotion, while being part of a friendly, global volunteer team. Your work will directly help grow our online audience, strengthen the station’s presence, and support the creative community we exist to champion.
