An opportunity has arisen to join Portsmouth Football Club’s Marketing & Communications team as Video & Design Executive.
We are looking for a versatile creative who can produce strong video and design content across the club. You will work across selected matchdays, first-team activity, Pompey+, marketing campaigns and commercial projects.
You will be confident filming, editing and designing, with good creative judgement and the ability to manage multiple briefs and deadlines.
Experience in professional video production and Adobe Creative Cloud is essential. Experience in football, sport or another fast-paced content environment is desirable.
The role includes regular evening and weekend matchday work.

- Reports To: Head of Marketing, Communications
- Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
- Hours: Full-time, 5 days per week, including matchdays, evenings and weekends as required
- Salary range: up to £28,500 depending on experience
Job Purpose
Create video and design content that supports the club’s marketing, communications, digital and commercial priorities.

Key Responsibilities
Video
- Plan, film and edit content across matchdays, training, interviews, features, player announcements and behind-the-scenes activity.
- Produce regular content for Pompey+ and club digital channels.
- Support post-match requirements including interviews, highlights, goal clips and replays.
- Operate professional camera, audio and lighting equipment.
Design
- Create assets for marketing campaigns, social media, digital channels, commercial activity, matchday screens, LEDs and club events.
- Produce accurate player, team, sponsorship and recurring matchday assets.
- Work within club brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity.
Planning & Delivery
- Manage creative projects from brief through to delivery.
- Work across departments and manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Maintain organised project files, assets and archives.
- Contribute ideas to campaigns and content planning.
- Ensure work is accurate, approved and supplied in the correct format.
Person Specification
You will have:
- Professional experience producing video from filming through to final edit.
- Graphic design experience and a strong portfolio.
- Strong Adobe Creative Cloud skills, particularly Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Experience using professional camera equipment. Sony FX-series experience is desirable.
- Strong visual storytelling, typography and layout skills.
- Good organisation and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple briefs and tight deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to take ownership.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and matchdays.
