Video Editor Brick Lane, London | Full-time | Salary: 30-35k | Start: October - November 2026 Join Toy Soldier Toy Soldier is a fast-growing creative production company based in the heart of Brick Lane, London. We produce commercials, brand films, documentaries, podcasts, event films and social content for clients ranging from celebrated brands such as Deliveroo, Fever-Tree, Warner Bros., Peroni, and Asahi to leading investment firms including J O Hambro Capital Management, Gemcorp, First Sentier Group, and RBC. We're a small team of five with ambitious plans for the future. Everyone has genuine ownership over their work, and every project receives the same level of care, creativity and attention to detail. We’re now looking for a talented Video Editor to join our team, take ownership of edits and develop with us as we grow. The Role We’re looking for a talented Video Editor with a strong creative eye, pride in their work and a desire to keep developing. You’ll edit a varied mix of branded films, documentaries, podcasts, event films and social content, taking projects from first assembly through to final delivery. Some edits will give you space to shape the story and explore creative ideas; others will call for thoughtful, accurate execution of a clear brief. As part of our team of five, you’ll have genuine ownership of your edits, working closely with our directors and producers for creative direction and feedback. We value someone who brings ideas, takes initiative and responds positively to feedback. You'll work closely with our directors and producers throughout the post-production process, helping deliver consistently high-quality work across a diverse range of clients and industries. Responsibilities Lead the editing of projects from ingest through to final delivery Edit across a wide variety of content including commercials, brand films, documentaries, podcasts, events and social media Colour grade to a strong standard in DaVinci Resolve Mix and polish audio for final delivery Create titles and basic motion graphics where appropriate Manage project organisation, media, exports and delivery Work efficiently across multiple projects and deadlines Contribute creative ideas where appropriate while executing briefs accurately Communicate professionally with producers, and directors. Active involvement in client feedback alongside our team when needed. About You You have a portfolio that demonstrates a strong sense of pacing, music and visual storytelling. You’re proficient in DaVinci Resolve and have a strong grounding in colour correction, grading and audio editing, with an appetite to develop those skills further. You’re hardworking, enjoy working independently, take ownership of your edits, quick to flag issues and welcomes feedback. You'll have excellent attention to detail, communicate well with both colleagues and clients, and remain calm under pressure when deadlines are tight. Most importantly, you'll care about quality - whether you're crafting a flagship brand film or delivering multiple social edits from an approved brief. Essential Skills & Experience 2+ years professional editing experience Proficient in DaVinci Resolve (essential) Good colour grading skills Excellent understanding of post-production workflows Confident audio editing, sound design and mixing Strong project organisation and media management Excellent understanding of codecs, exports and delivery specifications Good understanding of platform-specific content Ability to manage multiple edits simultaneously Strong technical problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong creative judgement around pacing, music and visual storytelling Reliable, proactive and able to work independently Desirable Proficient with Adobe After Effects Experience in Adobe Photoshop Motion graphics experience Why Join Toy Soldier?
