About The Bigger Brand
The Bigger Brand is a growing marketing agency working with ambitious businesses across the UK. We create high-performing campaigns, social content and brand-led video that is designed to actually get watched — not just sit in a Dropbox folder collecting dust.
We’re looking for a talented Video Editor to join our creative team and help us produce high-quality, engaging content across a growing portfolio of clients. This is a predominantly remote role, but you must be based in the UK and able to attend our Manchester office twice a month for team meetings, creative sessions and the occasional discussion about whether that transition was actually necessary.
The Role
As our Video Editor, you’ll take raw footage from our videographers and turn it into polished, engaging content for social media, advertising and wider marketing campaigns. A large proportion of the content we create is short-form, so you need to understand how to grab attention quickly, tell a story and keep people watching.
That means knowing when to cut. And, perhaps more importantly, knowing when not to add another zoom, whoosh or explosion sound effect. You’ll work closely with our videographers, social media managers, graphic designers and wider marketing team to develop content that looks great and performs well.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn
- Edit longer-form brand, testimonial and documentary-style content
- Turn raw footage into polished, engaging final edits
- Create strong opening hooks that capture attention quickly
- Add subtitles, captions, graphics and motion elements
- Use music and sound design effectively
- Colour correct and grade footage where required
- Clean and improve audio
- Work with multi-camera footage when required
- Edit patient and client testimonials
- Create before-and-after treatment content
- Edit educational, FAQ and talking-head videos
- Repurpose longer footage into multiple short-form pieces of content
- Produce creative variations for paid advertising campaigns
- Follow client brand guidelines and maintain consistency
- Organise footage and project files properly
- Work from briefs while also bringing your own creative ideas
- Make amendments based on internal and client feedback
- Manage multiple clients and deadlines at the same time

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What Good Looks Like
We’re not looking for someone who simply cuts clips together. A strong editor should be able to look at raw footage and recognise the story within it. You should understand:
- Where the hook is
- What can be removed
- What needs more breathing room
- When text will improve the video
- When music adds something
- When silence works better
- How to create emotion through an edit
- How to keep someone watching for the next five seconds
The difference between an average video and a great one is often in the small details. We care about those details.
Salary
£25,000 – £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. We’re open to different levels of experience within this range. Your showreel, editing ability, creative thinking and understanding of social content will matter more to us than simply how many years you’ve been editing.
Working Style
This is a hybrid role. The majority of your editing will be completed remotely, however the team meets approximately twice per month at our Manchester office. These sessions are used for creative workshops, team meetings, campaign planning, training and reviewing content together. You’ll also work closely with our videographers, who regularly shoot content for clients across the UK.
How to Apply
Please send your CV and showreel/portfolio to: contact@thebiggerbrand.co.uk
Your showreel is one of the most important parts of your application. We want to see your strongest work, particularly examples of:
- Short-form social content
- Talking-head edits
- Testimonials
- Brand videos
- Creative commercial content
- Motion graphics, where applicable
And if your showreel starts with a 45-second animated logo intro before we see any actual editing...
We may have already skipped ahead.
