Contract Type: Freelance 2-5 days weekly Sept 2026 – Mar 2027
Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and experienced freelance Video Editor to join our team from September 2026 – March 2027, working between 2-5 days a week across this period on a schedule we will agree. You will have a keen eye for detail and be adept at creating video content across a variety of platforms, and you will have a strong understanding of social media best practices.
You’ll be part of our fast-paced, highly motivated in-house communications team and will work closely with the creative function. The majority of your work will be in video editing for social media, with additional needs across TV spots, event assets and other needs on an ad-hoc basis.
This role will be instrumental in telling the story of the Prize and our Finalists, ensuring all content aligns with our brand standards. You’ll take briefs to deliver video content in a variety of formats based on fresh creative ideas and established design systems and guidelines. You’ll make sure all your work brings our brand and narrative to life, helping deliver content with incredible reach and high-quality storytelling.

Key Responsibilities:

AV Digital Media:
- Collaborate with social media team to develop thumb-stopping social AV content
- Create compelling short-form video content (30-120 seconds) tailored for platforms like Instagram, X, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
- Produce engaging long-form video content (2-10 minutes) for YouTube.
- Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and captures audience attention quickly.
- Stay informed on the latest video specs and best practices across social media platforms to optimize content performance.
Candidate Criteria:
- 3-5 years of experience in social media video editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work across both video editing and graphic design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), DaVinci Resolve and Figma, and familiarity with other design and editing tools.
- Basic understanding and some familiarity with producing and adapting motion graphics (keyframe animations, etc.)
- Familiarity with colour grading and dealing with LOG, RAW and HDR footage.
- Basic familiarity with graphic design and related files (SVGs, PNGs) in relation to the production of motion graphics
- Basic comprehension of camera file types, frame rates, etc.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms and their content specifications, both for static and video content.
- Ability to work within existing templates while also contributing creative ideas for improvement.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines as well as adhering to consistent storage and organisational principles for each video project (e.g. Folder structures).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- To work on diverse projects, from social media content to print and internal communications.
- Capacity to balance consistent quality with efficient delivery.
