Creative is at the heart of what we do at SURI and how we bring our products to the world. As a video editor for the growth team, you'll take the leading role in producing outstanding video creative for our digital advertising channels - where millions of people will see your work each week. You'll work closely with the digital advertising team to deliver best-in-class concepts that tell our story in an engaging, persuasive and brand-building way.

Responsibilities

  • Own video editing for SURI, taking concepts from idea stage to final execution
  • Work closely with our in-house creative strategists and paid-ad content creator to bring briefs to life
  • Contribute to ad concepting sessions and support on storyboard concepts with our creative strategists, bringing new video trends, ideas and insights to the table
  • Work with our growth and brand teams to create engaging ads that stop the scroll and persuasively tell our story through on-brand executions
  • Run the editing process with fast feedback loops between the briefer and yourself
  • Own the sound design process, managing voiceover processes and music selects

Requirements

  • You're a talented video editor with 2-4 years of experience (agency, in-house or freelance)
  • You can get scrappy and work with limited budgets, finding resourceful ways to deliver what you need
  • You've experience working in a fast paced environment where we test and learn, and iterate on things quickly
  • You are an expert on social media video trends, including Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and TikTok, knowledgeable about metrics to determine engagement
  • You are experienced with awareness and direct response advertising and e-commerce marketing strategies
  • You're capable of taking a brief, and working through the production process, from advising at pre-production stage, feeding into shot-lists and seamlessly editing it all together at the end
  • You're passionate about storytelling, and find interesting ways to hook and engage people with your content
  • You are fluent in Premiere Pro and general video editing software, are confident in After Effects and are skilled at colour-grading
  • The stated experience and background is a guide and does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience, provided the requisite skills can be demonstrated
