Video Editor
We are recruiting a Video Editor to join a fast-growing consumer e-commerce business based in Redditch.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands short-form video and knows how to turn raw footage into engaging content that captures attention quickly.
You might already have some professional editing experience, or you may be at an earlier stage in your career with a strong portfolio of personal, freelance, university or self-taught work.
You will join a small and ambitious marketing team where video plays an important part in how the business connects with its audience. The role offers plenty of hands-on creative ownership, variety and the opportunity to see how your work performs across major social media platforms.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Editing short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Turning raw footage from internal teams and external content creators into engaging, natural-looking videos
- Creating strong openings that quickly capture the viewer’s attention
- Adding captions, text overlays, music, sound effects, and platform-appropriate transitions
- Adapting edits, pacing, and formats for different social media channels
- Keeping up to date with emerging social media trends, formats, and sounds
- Bringing new content and editing ideas to the wider team
- Using AI-supported editing, captioning, clipping, and versioning tools where appropriate
- Reviewing video performance and using the results to improve future content
- Supporting filming days, including basic set-up, filming, and capturing B-roll
- Maintaining an organized library of raw footage and completed edits
- Producing content to agreed deadlines without compromising attention to detail

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
