ABOUT CASCADE
Cascade is an AI-native, end-to-end filmmaking platform, built by filmmakers, for filmmakers. Script, storyboard, character generation, scene assembly, final edit, entirely in one browser, so storytellers never have to leave the platform to make something great.
We're out of launch mode and into growth: Open Beta is live, and we're building a roster of creative partners and a real audience of independent filmmakers and studios who back what we're doing.
Cascade was founded by film and virtual production veterans who worked on blockbusters, including Avengers: Endgame, No Time To Die, Wicked, Masters of the Air, Pinocchio.
We’re a startup, which means real energy: fast decisions, all hands on deck, and no task considered above or below anyone. If that sounds like your kind of chaos, keep reading.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Video Editor to be the finishing touch on every video Cascade puts out. You’re a serious editor with a fine eye for detail and a strong sense of story, someone who isn’t afraid to test and scale ideas, and knows how to add motion design that really lifts a piece of content.
You’ll work alongside our creative team, taking what they shoot and generate inside Cascade and turning it into demo walkthroughs, feature announcements, tutorials and vertical, viral-style content for Shorts, Reels, and Tiktok, as well as refining trailers, short episodics, or features. You’ll know how to tell a story that keeps viewers engaged.
You'll support our brand and design team, polishing marketing collateral, and helping bring the wider creative team’s work to life with motion design and craft.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take footage and content from creative team, and edit it into a polished, cohesive story for short films, marketing campaigns, client productions, and product demos
- Great attention to detail: Spot tiny visual errors, bad cuts, or audio pops before the final export.
- Team up with our content team on pitch and client-facing videos, elevating them with motion design.
- Add motion design and polish (After Effects or whatever you're fluent in) – animated type, transitions, and the finishing touches that really lift a video.
- Batch-produce vertical, short-form video for Shorts, Reels and TikTok.
- Work closely with product and engineering to get an early sight of what features are shipping
- Spot ideas with our partner filmmakers and the wider community, and how to turn their work into marketing material
- Support our Creative Lead with video edits and light design work.
- Team up with Marketing to review performance data and use it to sharpen format, length and topics.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Professional experience editing video and motion content for a product, brand or creator audience, in-house, agency or freelance – with a showreel or portfolio that proves it.
- Demonstrable motion graphics skills (After Effects or similar) and editing skills (Premiere, Davinci Resolve etc.)
- Comfortable working from other team member’s projects and briefs, and turning it into something polished and cohesive.
- A storyteller with taste: you know how to hook someone in the first three seconds, and you get both traditional filmmaking and how AI is changing production.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI video or image tools as part of your actual workflow, not just playing with them.
- Enough design sensibility to take direction on visual consistency and support wider design work when needed.
- Genuine interest in filmmaking, storytelling, creative technology or AI-powered products
- Comfortable under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with directors
NICE TO HAVES

- Experience growing a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram channel.
- Comfortable being in a startup and being hands-on across everything.
- Some experience with scripting or storyboarding, useful for shaping an edit.

- Competitive salary benchmarked against early-stage London tech.
- A genuinely exciting product to work on – built by filmmakers, for filmmakers, at the frontier of AI.
- Remote working.
- A team culture built on craft, speed and ambition. We take the work seriously, not ourselves.
- The chance to define Cascade's creative voice and build the function as we grow.
OUR PRINCIPLES
We hire people who share these values:
- We build from scratch, we do not maintain the status quo: Builder mindset
- Everything we do is in service of the storytellers using our platform: Creator-first
- Speed matters, and so does quality - we do not sacrifice one for the other: Move fast, ship well
- We say what we think, give feedback clearly, and expect the same in return: Honest and direct
- We use AI at every level, including in how we work and expect our team to do the same: AI-native
OUR BRAND VALUES
- Story first. Always. Every decision exists in service of the story. Technology is the means. The story is the thing. Every product decision, every design choice, every line of copy exists to serve one purpose — getting great stories made.
- Democratise great filmmaking. Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't. Cascade exists to level the playing field — so the best ideas get made regardless of budget, backing or postcode.
- Supercharge the human. Don't replace them. Storytelling is an art. AI is a tool, not a creative director. The best work comes from people with vision, instinct and an understanding of performance, pacing and story. Cascade is designed to supercharge that talent — not replace it.
- Slick by design. Relentless by nature. Cascade is built to be powerful, intuitive and genuinely easy to use. And we believe things can always be better, so we'll never stop listening, improving and working to support the people using Cascade.
