Video Editor (Sports & Athletes)

Salary: £30,000-40,000

Type: Full-time - Hybrid

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Video Editor to join their growing creative team, working across content within the world of sport and athletes.

The role will have a particular focus on taking long-form content and turning it into engaging, social-first edits that grab attention and keep audiences watching.

What You'll Do

  • Edit long-form content into engaging short-form and social-first cuts
  • Create content for platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
  • Turn raw footage and existing content into fast-paced, engaging edits
  • Use pacing, graphics, music, captions and sound to maximise audience retention
  • Work closely with the wider creative and social teams
  • Adapt edits for different platforms, formats and audiences
  • Take feedback and implement amends quickly and accurately
  • Stay on top of social trends, editing styles and emerging content formats
  • Manage project files, footage and assets effectively

What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience taking long-form content and turning it into engaging social edits
  • Confidence using Adobe Premiere Pro
  • A strong understanding of digital and social content
  • A great eye for pacing, rhythm and storytelling
  • An understanding of audience retention and how editing decisions influence performance
  • A good eye for graphics and other visual elements that elevate an edit
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to take feedback and work at pace
  • A portfolio or showreel demonstrating your editing ability
  • Someone who can ideally start immediately

A genuine interest in sport and athlete-led content would be a big plus.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience editing sports, creator or lifestyle content
  • After Effects or motion graphics experience
  • Wider Adobe Creative Suite skills
  • Experience editing specifically for YouTube, Instagram and TikTok
  • An understanding of social analytics and audience retention

This is a great opportunity for a talented junior editor who wants to develop their craft while working on engaging digital content within sport.

You’ll be expected to work from the office a minimum of three days per week.
