Job Opportunity: Video Editor / Storyboard Writer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Video Editor / Storyboard Writer based in the United Kingdom.

This is a performance-focused creative role centered primarily on storyboard development for paid social advertising.

You’ll shape the visual and narrative structure of ads designed to capture attention and drive measurable results.

The role combines creative strategy, direct-response marketing, storytelling, and hands-on video editing.

You’ll develop hooks, concepts, pattern interrupts, and retention-focused structures that editors and actors can execute with clarity.

You’ll work closely with marketing, copywriting, and creative teams while using performance data to continuously improve concepts.

The position also offers opportunities to experiment with AI-powered creative tools, emerging formats, and new approaches to advertising.

It’s an ideal environment for a creative professional who wants to grow beyond traditional editing and develop strong performance marketing expertise.

Accountabilities

  • Create detailed, performance-driven storyboards for paid social ads, defining the complete visual and narrative flow, including hooks, talking-head segments, B-roll, actions, and on-screen text.
  • Specify precisely what actors should do and demonstrate throughout each scene so concepts can be executed without additional creative direction.
  • Provide clear production guidance to editors, including recommendations for stock footage, AI-generated content, motion graphics, and other visual elements.
  • Develop compelling hooks, creative angles, pattern interrupts, and ad structures based on current winning formats across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Use performance data and creative feedback to iterate on concepts and improve engagement, retention, and conversion potential.
  • Monitor emerging trends, formats, and successful direct-response advertising approaches, particularly across DTC and UGC-style content.
  • Collaborate with marketing, editing, and copywriting teams to strengthen creative concepts and campaign performance.
  • Edit video content when required to execute or refine storyboard concepts, primarily using Adobe Premiere Pro and, where appropriate, After Effects.
  • Leverage AI-powered creative technologies, including avatars, voice generation, generative video, and related tools, to enhance production workflows.
  • Manage multiple creative concepts simultaneously while maintaining speed, consistency, and quality.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
