About Kepler and the role
Kepler Interactive is a video game publisher and creative studio based in London, creating and collaborating on bold, innovative work that sits at the intersection of video games and culture. This means we work on games with a distinct point of view and our job is to make those games cut through, video is usually where people meet them first.
This role sits at the centre of that. You'll own the edit from first assembly to final delivery: launch and reveal trailers, behind-the-scenes documentaries, and the stream of assets that keep a game alive across platforms. We want someone who treats a 90-second trailer with the same seriousness as a film editor treats a teaser, and who has strong opinions about how it should feel.
What you'll do
Trailers (your main focus)
- Cut announce, gameplay, release and post-launch trailers for games across our portfolio
- Shape the creative approach with marketing and the developer: structure, pacing, music, tone and the moment people will remember
- Capture and select footage with studio teams, and work with in-engine and capture builds
- Deliver platform-ready masters and cut-downs for showcases, storefronts and partners, to their specs and deadlines

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Documentaries and long-form
- Edit behind-the-scenes and developer documentaries, from interviews and B-roll through to a finished story
- Find the narrative in hours of raw footage and build it into something people choose to watch
Video assets
- Produce social cuts, vertical edits, GIFs, loops and short-form content for each channel
- Adapt hero edits into localised, regional and partner versions
- Keep projects, media and archives organised so the team can find and reuse work
Who you are
- You have a point of view. You can explain why a cut works, pitch an idea nobody asked for, and defend it while staying open to feedback.
- You drive your own work. You take a brief and run with it, manage your own time across several projects, and flag problems before they become late deliveries.
- You know games. You play widely, understand what makes a game's feel hard to capture on video, and follow how the industry markets its releases.
- You're shaped by more than games. Film is a big influence: you watch trailers, title sequences and documentaries from cinema and know why the best ones land. Music, design, fashion and internet culture feed into your work too.
- You care about craft. You sweat the frame-accurate details, from sound design to a clean colour grade.
