The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Video Producer to join our News Editorial Video team, creating high-quality, engaging video content for PA customers.
Reporting to our Deputy Head of Video, you’ll work across filming, live streaming, and editing, covering a varied news agenda spanning news, sport, and entertainment.
This is a hands-on role where speed, accuracy, and strong editorial judgment matter. You’ll be comfortable filming to a professional broadcast standard, turning footage around quickly, and creating compelling video packages for an online audience.
Alongside producing content, you’ll play an important part in making sure video is accurately administered and delivered to customers, including writing clear and accurate headlines and captions.

The minimum salary for the job level in which this role sits is £33,000, and the job family is Picture or Video Editor. We are happy to discuss this detail more during the recruitment stage should you have any questions.
What You’ll Do
- Film to a high professional standard across live and ENG environments.
- Edit footage quickly and accurately into compelling video packages.
- Use Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to produce high-quality content.
- Generate rough cuts and deliver video promptly to customers, often working to tight deadlines.
- Support live streaming and the delivery of video content across our services.
- Manage and administer incoming video footage, ensuring content is handled accurately.
- Write accurate headlines and captions to accompany video content.
- Respond to queries from customers and colleagues.
- Maintain consistently high editorial and technical standards across filming and editing.
What You’ll Bring
- Professional experience filming with Canon and Sony broadcast cameras.
- Professional experience editing with Adobe Premiere Pro, alongside knowledge of After Effects.
- Proven experience creating engaging content for an online video audience.
- The ability to edit quickly and accurately while maintaining a high technical and editorial standard.
- Strong professional filming skills.
- Experience using a video content management system.
- A good understanding of video players and file formats.
- A strong knowledge of current affairs, particularly across news, sport, and entertainment.
- A good understanding of the wider news landscape and social media, including the importance of user-generated content and news verification.
- Strong written English and grammatical accuracy.
- A strong understanding of SEO.
- A degree in video production, video journalism, or equivalent.
