Sale Sharks Rugby Club, founded in 1861, is the oldest rugby union club in the Premiership and is deeply rooted in Manchester and the wider Northern community. The club competes at the highest level in the Gallagher Premiership, takes on leading teams in European competitions, and supports the growth of Sharks Women in the Allianz Premier 15s. On the pitch, Sale Sharks aims for league titles and European success, while off the pitch it invests in grassroots and community programmes to grow the game and support local initiatives. Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Videographer role based in Carrington. The Videographer will capture and produce high-quality video content that showcases match days, training sessions, player features, community events, and behind-the-scenes club activities. Day-to-day tasks include planning shoots, operating cameras, setting up and adjusting lighting, recording video and audio, and collaborating with marketing and communications teams on creative concepts and content schedules. The role also involves editing footage into polished content for digital platforms, social media, and internal use, maintaining equipment, and ensuring consistency with the club’s brand and storytelling style.

Qualifications

- Strong video production skills, including planning, shooting, and editing engaging content for digital and social channels.
- Proficiency in camera operation, including working with different camera types and shooting video in varied environments.
- Ability to manage lighting setups for indoor and outdoor shoots to ensure clear, high-quality visuals.
- Experience working in fast-paced sports or events environments and capturing live action.
- Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with coaches, players, and staff.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and match days as required by the club schedule.
- Relevant experience in videography; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work is highly beneficial.
