Project: Interview / Talking-Head Video

About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Videoographer / Editor to film and edit a talking-head style video for the Infectious Disease team. The project will involve filming interviews with three senior stakeholders and delivering a polished, broadcast-quality final edit. This is a hands-on role requiring strong filming, lighting and post-production skills, with the successful freelancer responsible for taking the project from shoot through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Film three senior stakeholder interviews
  • Shoot across three locked-off camera set-ups, ensuring consistent framing and visual quality.
  • Provide and operate professional filming equipment.
  • Set up simple, clean and effective interview lighting.
  • Capture high-quality dialogue and production audio.
  • Edit the interviews into a polished final video, incorporating supplied B-roll footage.
  • Complete colour grading and audio mixing.
  • Ensure the final edit is professionally finished and delivered to the agreed specification and deadline.
  • Manage the workflow from filming through to final delivery, maintaining consistency across all interviews.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a shooter / videographer and editor, ideally with strong experience filming interviews and talking-head content.
  • Own professional camera kit, ideally Sony A7S III, Sony FX3 or equivalent/better.
  • Confident creating simple, professional interview lighting setups.
  • Strong understanding of composition, framing and visual storytelling.
  • Excellent editing skills, with the ability to create a polished final cut from interview and B-roll footage.
  • Strong colour grading and audio mixing capabilities.
  • Teleprompter capability is preferred.
  • Able to work independently and manage a tight production and post-production timeline.
  • Strong attention to detail and a professional approach to working with senior stakeholders.

Timeline

The project has a tight turnaround, with filming and post-production required to enable final delivery by early September 2026.

You will be comfortable working with senior stakeholders, creating clean and professional interview content, and delivering a high-quality final edit within a short timeframe.
