Job Description: Hybrid Videographer & Content Strategist
We are looking for a hybrid Videographer & Content Strategist who brings high-level visual storytelling together with creative strategy, producing content for The Social Shepherd's marketing output.
You aren't just someone who operates a camera; you think strategically, have a ton of ideas, an eye for clean art direction, and can edit. You understand how visuals drive engagement across social channels, podcasts, and paid acquisition, and care about how a brand is perceived.
Based in our Bath office, you will own our video output end-to-end for The Social Shepherd, not our clients.
From brainstorming bold content concepts to lighting, shooting, editing, and art directing.
You’ll also work closely with our wider team to ensure our overall visual identity remains sharp, cohesive, and innovative.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ideation & Strategy
- Conceptualise and produce organic social content, our podcast, and high-converting paid social ads.
Production & Direction
- Handle camera operation, lighting, audio, and art direction.
- Constantly experiment with visual techniques and creative direction.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
