The Role

The Videographer will play a key role in capturing and producing high-quality video content that brings Coventry City FC to life across all digital and social platforms. Reporting into the Content Manager, this role will help tell the story of the club on and off the pitch, from matchday action and behind-the-scenes access to commercial campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Filming & Production

  • Capture high-quality video content across matchdays, training sessions, press conferences, player features, and commercial activations.
  • Film behind-the-scenes content that gives fans unique access to the club.
  • Ensure video output is creative, dynamic, and tailored to digital-first audiences.

Editing & Post-Production

  • Edit video content into platform-native formats for social media, website, and broadcast use.
  • Deliver engaging match highlights, short-form video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), and long-form storytelling pieces.
  • Add graphics, subtitles, and branding in line with club guidelines.

Creative Development

  • Work with the Content Manager to brainstorm and pitch new video concepts that enhance CCFC’s storytelling.
  • Collaborate with Social Media Executives to ensure video integrates seamlessly into broader content campaigns.
  • Stay on top of digital trends and adapt filming/editing styles to maximise fan engagement.

  • Film and edit content live on matchdays, working across the stadium, tunnel, pitchside, and fan zones.
  • Support video coverage of community appearances, commercial shoots, and fan engagement events.
  • Deliver quick-turnaround edits for use during and immediately after fixtures.

Technical & Operational

  • Manage and maintain video equipment, ensuring all kit is in working order.
  • Handle file management, archiving, and delivery of video assets to the Content Manager and wider club departments.
  • Work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and travel as required by the fixture list.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a videographer, ideally within sport, media, or entertainment.
  • Strong skills in camera operation, lighting, and sound.
  • Proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
  • Understanding of social media platforms and video best practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver high-quality content to tight deadlines.
  • Strong creative eye, with the ability to tell stories through video.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel.
