Videographer / Social Media Manager, CARRHAUS
Location: Blyth, Northumberland (in person)
Type: Full time or freelance considered
Start: ASAP
About the role
CARRHAUS is looking for a Videographer / Social Media Manager to join us full time, in person, in Blyth. This is a hands on, high intensity role for someone who lives and breathes content, not a nine to five desk job, and not for the faint hearted.
You'll be filming, editing, and posting daily. You'll be the person behind the camera and behind the strategy, shaping how CARRHAUS shows up across every platform, every single day.
What you'll be doing
- Uploading daily across all our social channels, keeping the brand identity sharp and consistent on every post.
- Filming documentary style daily videos for TikTok and YouTube: real, raw, in the moment content, not polished corporate video.
- Spotting trends across social platforms early and turning them into content before everyone else catches up.
- Shooting, editing, and publishing, day in, day out. This is the core of the job, not a side task.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Who we're looking for
Someone who has something about them. Confident on camera and off it, full of ideas, and not afraid to get stuck in. Someone who understands what makes content stop the scroll, and can spot a trend before it's a trend.
You'll need strong videography and editing skills, a sharp eye for brand and visual consistency, and a genuine finger on the pulse of TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube. This role moves fast and demands a lot; you should thrive under that, not shrink from it.
