About the Role

Daily Mail is on a mission to premiumise and grow original video formats across our website, and we’re looking for a versatile Videographer/Editor to join our ambitious team. You will shoot and edit engaging, original video content that stands out for quality, creativity, and storytelling - helping us reach ever broader audiences and elevate Daily Mail’s video output to new heights.

Main Responsibilities

  • Film and edit high-quality original video content for the Daily Mail website, including explainers, interviews, feature packages, and short-form stories.
  • Collaborate with producers, journalists, and the wider editorial team to develop and execute innovative video ideas.
  • Take projects end-to-end, from shooting in studio or on location, to crafting engaging edits and delivering optimized final cuts.
  • Ensure all video output meets brand, editorial, and legal standards, and is suited for multi-platform distribution.
  • Contribute creative concepts and visual treatments to help push our formats forward and keep Daily Mail ahead of the curve.
  • Stay up-to-date with video trends, shooting/editing techniques, and digital storytelling best practices.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience as a videographer and editor, ideally in a news, digital publisher, or creative agency setting.
  • Highly proficient with camera gear (DSLR/mirrorless, audio, lighting) and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro essential, After Effects a bonus).
  • A strong showreel/portfolio demonstrating creative storytelling, sharp editing, and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, able to work autonomously or alongside producers/reporters.
  • An ability to work under pressure and the flexibility to be deployed to the field often at short notice as news dictates.
  • Passion for current affairs, lifestyle, or popular culture, with a keen sense of what drives digital audiences.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
