Videographer / Video Content Creator at TheGallery / Secarma
About the Role
We’re looking for a talented and versatile Videographer / Video Content Creator to join our marketing team. This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable planning and shooting a polished production on professional cinema equipment as they are grabbing an iPhone or Android device and creating fast, engaging content for social media. You’ll be joining a wider marketing team but will be our dedicated in-house videographer, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership of their work. You’ll have the freedom to develop ideas, recommend creative approaches and take projects from initial concept through filming, editing and final delivery. We have invested significantly in our video capabilities, so you’ll have access to an excellent range of production and post-production equipment – from Mac Studio editing workstations and Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K systems through to ARRI cameras for selected productions. We’re looking for someone who can make the most of it.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll be responsible for creating video content across a wide variety of formats and channels, including marketing campaigns, social media, educational content, webinars, events, interviews, customer stories and larger creative productions. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, filming and editing high-quality video content from start to finish.
- Shooting confidently using DSLR/mirrorless and professional cinema camera systems.
- Creating more spontaneous, dynamic content using iPhone and Android smartphones.
- Producing content specifically designed for LinkedIn, YouTube and our training video platform.
- Working with the marketing team to turn campaign ideas and briefs into engaging video concepts.
- Taking ownership of productions including planning shots, lighting, audio, filming and post-production.
- Editing short-form and long-form video content using professional editing software.
- Colour correcting and grading footage to produce a consistent, professional finish.
- Creating simple motion graphics, titles and visual effects where appropriate.
- Repurposing longer productions into short-form clips and social content.
- Keeping up with developments in video production, social content and emerging formats.
The Person We're Looking For
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Technical ability is important, but we're equally interested in your creative instincts and attitude. You'll need to be someone who can work autonomously. You won't have another videographer sitting alongside you telling you which lens to use, how to light an interview or how to structure an edit. We therefore want someone who is comfortable making those decisions and taking responsibility for the finished product. At the same time, you'll be part of a collaborative marketing team, working with colleagues across content, campaigns, digital and events. You'll ideally be:
- Creative and full of ideas.
- Technically confident behind a camera.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of projects.
- Organised enough to manage several productions simultaneously.
- Confident working with people who aren't accustomed to being on camera.
- Able to turn relatively loose briefs into strong creative concepts.
- Interested in storytelling rather than simply capturing footage.
- Comfortable switching between highly polished productions and quick, authentic social content.
- Curious about new techniques, technology and video formats.
Technical Skills
Essential
We're looking for good practical experience in:
- DSLR/mirrorless or professional video camera operation.
- Lenses, exposure, frame rates and camera settings.
- Composition and visual storytelling.
- Lighting for interviews and other productions.
- Professional audio recording.
- Video editing and post-production.
- Preparing and exporting content for different platforms and formats.
- Smartphone videography using iPhone and/or Android devices.
Experience with DaVinci Resolve and/or Avid Media Composer would be particularly valuable, as these are systems we currently use. You don't necessarily need to have worked with every piece of equipment we own – we're more interested in someone who understands the principles and is enthusiastic about learning.
Desirable
Experience in any of the following would be a bonus:
- Adobe After Effects.
- Colour correction and basic colour grading.
- Drone filming.
- Live events and webinars.
- Motion graphics and animation.
- Blackmagic camera systems.
- ARRI camera systems.
- Multi-camera productions.
- Photography.
- Podcast/video podcast production.
- Social-first vertical video production.
- Sound design and audio post-production.

Professional Equipment – and the Freedom to Use It
This isn't a role where you'll be expected to produce everything using a basic corporate camera kit. You'll have access to a professional production environment including:
- Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K systems
- ARRI cameras for selected projects
- Professional lenses, lighting and audio equipment
- Mac Studio editing workstations
- Professional editing and post-production software
We want someone who is excited by the opportunity to use high-quality equipment – but who also understands that sometimes the best tool for the job is the smartphone in their pocket. The ability to recognise the difference is important to us.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role isn't simply measured by how technically perfect a piece of footage is. We want video that gets watched, communicates an idea and makes people feel something or take action. Over time, we'd expect you to become the person within the business who drives our thinking around video – bringing ideas to the marketing team, spotting opportunities and continually improving the quality and effectiveness of the content we produce.
Experience
We're open-minded about exactly where you've gained your experience. You may have worked:
- In-house within a marketing or creative team.
- For a video production company.
- Within a creative or marketing agency.
- As a freelance videographer or filmmaker.
- In television, film or digital content production.
A strong showreel or portfolio demonstrating what you can actually create will be more important to us than a particular qualification or number of years in the industry.
Why This Role Is Different
This is an opportunity to become the go-to video specialist within an ambitious marketing team. You'll have the equipment and technology to create genuinely high-quality work, while having the freedom to experiment with faster and more contemporary approaches to content creation. One day that might mean lighting and shooting a carefully planned production using a cinema camera. The next might mean spotting an opportunity, pulling out an iPhone and creating something that's online that afternoon. We're looking for someone who enjoys both.
Schedule and Salary
- Full-time Role – Monday to Friday
- Salary £30,000-37,000 depending on experience
