Role Description

The Vinyl & Sign Fitter is a full-time, on-site role based in Wakefield. The role involves installing vinyl graphics, signage, and displays at client locations and within the workshop, including measuring surfaces, preparing substrates, and applying vinyl with precision. Day-to-day tasks include reading and following installation briefs, using hand and power tools, ensuring accurate alignment and finish, and checking all work meets quality standards. The Vinyl & Sign Fitter will also assist with site surveys, loading and unloading materials, maintaining equipment, and adhering to health and safety procedures at all times. Collaboration with colleagues, clear communication with clients on-site, and flexibility to work on varied projects and environments are key aspects of the role.

  • Experience in vinyl application and sign installation, including measuring, cutting, and fitting graphics and signage.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools typically used in signage and display installation, with a strong focus on safe working practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow technical instructions, site plans, and installation specifications accurately.
  • Good physical fitness and manual dexterity, with the ability to work at heights, lift materials, and stand for extended periods as required.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in client-facing environments.
  • Full, clean driving licence to travel to and from sites in and around Wakefield and the wider region.
  • Previous experience in signage, shopfitting, graphics installation, or a related trade is highly beneficial.
  • Basic IT skills for reading digital job sheets and using company systems; willingness to learn new methods and tools.
