Virtual Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP)
Remote based with occasional attendance in either Bupa Place (M50 3SP) or alternative local Bupa Centre as required
Permanent
Salary: up to £50,000 full time equivalent + Benefits
Full Time 37.5 hours / minimum 4 working days per week, includes 1 late shift until 8pm (Tuesday-Friday) and a weekend rotation of 1 Saturday every 6 weeks

As an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner within our PhysioLine team, you'll play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive the right musculoskeletal care at the right time. Using your advanced clinical expertise, you'll provide telephone and video-based assessments, deliver diagnoses, and guide customers through the most appropriate clinical pathway from their very first interaction.
Working with Bupa Insurance members and corporate customers, you'll combine exceptional clinical skills with a customer-focused approach, helping individuals manage musculoskeletal conditions while ensuring high-quality outcomes and a seamless customer experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced MSK clinician who thrives in an autonomous environment, enjoys clinical decision-making, and is passionate about delivering evidence-based care through innovative virtual services.
You'll help us make health happen by:
- Delivering high-quality musculoskeletal assessments through telephone and video consultations.
- Providing advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment recommendations for customers presenting with MSK conditions.
- Identifying appropriate onward referrals and ensuring customers are directed to the right clinician or service first time.
- Managing complex and higher-risk cases, including monitoring, follow-up and escalation of red flag presentations where required.
- Supporting the delivery of excellent customer outcomes while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Adhering to professional standards, clinical governance requirements, policies and audit processes.
- Contributing to service development initiatives, clinical quality improvements and business projects as required.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with information governance, confidentiality and regulatory requirements.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
- MSc qualification in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, or equivalent postgraduate qualification/modules in MSK or Advanced Practice.
- HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
- Minimum of five years' post-graduate MSK physiotherapy experience, including at least three years in a senior MSK role.
- Demonstrable advanced clinical reasoning, diagnostic and assessment skills at MSc (Level 7) standard.
- Ability to order and interpret diagnostic tests.
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance, evidence-based practice and professional standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport in a virtual environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a wider multidisciplinary team.
- IT proficiency and confidence using digital healthcare platforms.
- Experience of supervising, mentoring, or coaching colleagues.
- Ability to support learning, development, and performance through constructive feedback and reflective practice.
