Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Visa and Immigration Lead based in United Kingdom.
As a Visa and Immigration Lead, you will help shape and operate a technology-driven approach to global immigration and cross-border work compliance.
You will translate complex international visa and immigration regulations into clear, structured rules that can be applied consistently across people and systems.
The role combines regulatory research, compliance framework ownership, process design, and expert operational support.
You will work across Sales, Operations, Customer Support, and Customer Success to provide trusted guidance on complex immigration scenarios.
A key focus will be balancing regulatory accuracy with scalable, repeatable workflows that can support customers across countries and edge cases.
You will have significant ownership over compliance topics, researching challenging questions and driving them through to resolution.

Accountabilities
As a Visa and Immigration Lead, you will own key aspects of the global visa and immigration compliance framework, turning complex regulatory requirements into practical processes and scalable technology-enabled solutions.
- Research and interpret international visa and immigration regulations relevant to cross-border work scenarios.
- Translate complex regulatory requirements into structured rules, decision trees, and system-ready workflows.
- Build and maintain clear, auditable compliance logic that can be consistently applied across countries and different employee mobility scenarios.
- Take end-to-end ownership of complex immigration and compliance questions, conducting thorough research and driving issues through to resolution.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve standardized visa and immigration processes.
- Provide expert-level compliance guidance and operational support to internal Operations teams.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert throughout the customer lifecycle, including Sales, After-Sales, Customer Support, and Customer Success.
- Conduct detailed visa and immigration discussions with customers and clearly explain applicable requirements, processes, and solutions.
- Help customers understand complex immigration requirements while building trust through accurate, practical, and transparent guidance.
- Identify opportunities to improve compliance workflows through automation, standardization, and platform capabilities.
- Bridge regulatory expertise with technology by ensuring compliance requirements can be implemented efficiently at scale.
- Evaluate edge cases and complex scenarios while maintaining a pragmatic approach to scalable platform solutions.
- Stay current with regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on compliance processes and platform logic.
- Collaborate across teams to continuously improve processes, customer experiences, and compliance operations.

Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced immigration compliance professional with strong research, analytical, and communication skills who can combine regulatory expertise with a technology- and scalability-focused mindset.
- 5+ years of professional experience in visa and immigration compliance.
- Corporate immigration experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of international visa and immigration regulations and cross-border work requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed regulatory research and independently resolve complex compliance questions.
- Strong understanding of how to translate regulations and legal requirements into clear processes, rules, decision trees, and operational workflows.
- Ability to balance compliance accuracy with practical, scalable, and automation-oriented solutions.
- Experience designing, documenting, or improving standardized compliance processes.
- Strong consulting and customer-facing communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English; fluency in both languages is required.
- Ability to explain complex immigration and compliance concepts clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Highly analytical and structured approach to problem-solving.
- Strong sense of ownership and ability to independently manage topics from initial research through resolution.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-driven environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Operations, Sales, Customer Support, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams.
- Strong interest in technology, automation, and platform-based approaches to compliance.
- Ability to identify opportunities to make compliance processes more consistent, efficient, and scalable.
- Comfortable working with complex scenarios, country-specific requirements, and regulatory edge cases.
