University of the Arts London is seeking a Visitor and Events Operations Manager to play a key role in delivering an outstanding visitor and events experience at one of the world’s most distinctive creative institutions.
Based at our King’s Cross campus, you will help oversee a busy and varied programme of internal, commercial and public-facing events, alongside the day-to-day operation of our front of house, reception and hospitality services.
You will lead and develop front of house and casual events teams, ensuring consistently high standards of customer service and smooth event delivery. You will work closely with colleagues across events, programming, estates and commercial teams, as well as external clients and event organisers, coordinating everything from staffing and schedules to event planning, financial reconciliation and operational requirements.

You will also support the successful running of The Platform Bar and help ensure events are delivered professionally, safely and in a way that encourages repeat business.
About you
You will have demonstrable experience of working in an events environment, together with a strong track record in customer-facing or visitor experience roles. You will be able to motivate others, organise competing priorities and build positive relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will also bring a good understanding of budget planning and event operations, with the judgement and initiative to resolve day-to-day challenges. Knowledge of licensing, relevant legislation and health and safety within an events environment would be an advantage.

This is a varied, people-focused role within a fast-moving creative environment. Flexibility is important, as the position will involve some evening and weekend working.
