Visitor Centre Assistants at Durlston Country Park
We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated people to join the Ranger team at Durlston Country Park and National Nature Reserve as Visitor Centre Assistants. This stunning gem on the Jurassic Coast, is renowned for its rich biodiversity and geology, its Great Globe and the breathtaking views. Attracting thousands of visitors annually Durlston is a vibrant hub for nature lovers, history enthusiasts alike, day visitors, events and weddings.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience of providing a welcoming visitor experience, working in a busy customer facing environment and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities
As Visitor Centre Assistant, you will be assisting with the day to day running of Durlston Castle Visitor Centre. This will involve:
- Providing a high standard of welcome to our visitors
- Assisting them with any queries
- Providing information
- Assisting the Volunteers
- Working in the gift shop and end of day banking
- Answering phones and general email enquiries
- Operating computer based information systems

About the Role
This is a casual position, hours to be agreed. Working in the Durlston Castle Visitor Centre.
Further Information
As this is a casual role, aiming to begin as soon as possible, and we are hoping to recruit more than one person we will be conducting interviews on more than one date depending on application receipt, so could be before the closing date.
