Job Opportunity: Visual / UI Designer
Contract Length - 6 Months
Location: Bristol
Working Pattern: 2 days per week in the office
Are you a talented Visual / UI Designer ready to make an impact in the dynamic world of financial services? Our client, a leading organisation in the fintech industry, is seeking an innovative designer to help shape a new digital proposition aimed at younger customers and families. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a strategic initiative focused on financial education and habit-building experiences for children and parents!
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape the visual and UI direction for a youth-focused digital savings proposition.
- Translate existing research and strategic insights into clear visual concepts, user journeys, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
- Collaborate closely with the Squad Lead, UX Designer, and User Researcher to validate assumptions and convert insights into tangible design artefacts.
- Balance strategic thinking with hands-on design delivery, ensuring the proposition is compelling and feasible.
- Create high-quality visual outputs suitable for presentation to senior stakeholders, articulating the rationale and intended customer impact behind design decisions.
- Collaborate effectively across technology, marketing, and design teams within a complex matrix environment.
- Utilise prototyping and AI-enabled design tools to enhance exploration while maintaining visual quality.

Required Skills & Experience:
- A strong portfolio showcasing high-quality UI/visual design for digital products, with clear evidence of impact.
- Excellent visual craft, including layout, hierarchy, and interaction patterns, with the ability to create polished, production-quality interfaces.
- Experience in translating research and insights into compelling concepts and product experiences.
- Confidence in presenting design thinking and recommendations to senior stakeholders in high-scrutiny environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
- Proven success in large, complex organisations with multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable Experience:
- Background as a UI Designer or Visual Designer, with a focus on consumer digital products for younger audiences, families, or financial services.
- Familiarity with AI in professional design workflows, showcasing strong judgement and quality control.
