Visual Impairment Rehabilitation Worker
We are currently looking to recruit a part-time Visual Impairment Rehabilitation Worker for our Sensory Impairment Team.
Reporting to the Advanced Practitioner
The successful post holder will be responsible for providing a professional rehabilitation service to adults and children with a visual impairment, including advice, mobility training, daily living skills, and communication skills.
Qualifications and Experience
- Hold a diploma or equivalent in Rehabilitation studies.
- We would welcome candidates who also have rehabilitation qualifications to apply.
- Extensive experience of working with adults and children with visual impairment within the community.
Responsibilities
- Work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Engage in multiagency working to ensure the health and wellbeing of adults and children are paramount to service delivery.
- Help deliver excellent services to the residents of Bedford and Central Bedfordshire Boroughs.

Skills and Competencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer literacy to maintain good case recording.
