Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a creative Visual Merchandising Assistant to join their growing team in Plymouth.

If you have a passion for retail, visual merchandising, space planning, and turning data into commercially successful store layouts, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Role

As a Visual Merchandising Planner, you'll play a key role in creating engaging and effective store layouts that maximise product visibility, enhance the customer journey, and drive sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and communicate planograms and merchandising guides that support sales growth and business objectives.
  • Produce clear, detailed merchandising packs for store teams to implement effectively.
  • Utilise micro space planning software and data insights to create commercially effective store layouts.
  • Collaborate with Buying Teams, Floor Planning teams, and Data Analysts to ensure successful execution of merchandising strategies.
  • Maintain and update merchandising plans across assigned departments.
  • Support store reviews and occasional new store openings through site visits.
  • Deliver accurate and timely merchandising guides while maintaining high levels of attention to detail.

About You

We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, highly organised, and passionate about retail merchandising.

You'll ideally have:

  • Retail, merchandising, or commercial experience.
  • Previous visual merchandising experience (desirable).
  • Experience working with planograms or space planning tools (advantageous).
  • Strong Microsoft Office and PC skills.
  • Experience using Photoshop, InDesign, or similar design software.
  • Exposure to Micro Space Planning software would be beneficial.
