Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Travel Retail West for a Visual Merchandising Coordinator to join the team. This role plays a key role in shaping our brand presence across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Travel Retail markets. Reporting to the Visual Merchandising Manager/Senior Visual Merchandising Executive, this position focuses on delivering seamless store openings and executing impactful Visual Merchandising (VM) strategies. This role follows a hybrid working pattern of four days in the office and one day working from home.

Key Responsibilities

Store Openings & Project Execution

  • Comprehensive Coordination: Lead all VM activities for store openings, including placing VM collateral orders, creating planograms, and ensuring on-time delivery of materials. Ensure alignment and clear communication across all stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Retailers, RBD, TRWW, SD/PM/FVM, Commercial, and Marketing teams to align on timelines, requirements, and execution strategies.
  • On-Site Support: Visit stores during openings or key events to support implementation and provide VM expertise, acting as the main contact for store teams.
  • Vendor Oversight: Manage relationships with suppliers and printers to ensure timely and accurate production and delivery of VM materials.
  • Timeline Management: Oversee critical project milestones, ensuring all deadlines are met for store launch readiness.
  • Audits & Documentation: Conduct post-installation audits to ensure VM accuracy, maintaining detailed records of all collateral and store layouts.

Visual Merchandising Coordination

  • Inventory Planning: Work closely with teams to maintain efficient VM collateral inventory for reuse and cost optimization.
  • Campaign Rollouts: Coordinate promotional and lightbox campaign rollouts across regional counters, ensuring alignment with brand standards.
  • Database Maintenance: Maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date database of store details, VM components, and layouts for EMEA.
  • Budget Management: Raise purchase orders, track budgets, and process invoices, with support from senior team members, to ensure all financial aspects are handled accurately.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborative Communication: Act as the primary liaison for VM-related discussions with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project objectives.
  • Team Guidance: Support Commercial teams with VM strategies to enhance brand visibility and elevate the in-store experience.
  • Regular Reporting: Present updates through detailed reports and presentations to senior stakeholders, including the RBD, VM Manager, and Marketing Manager.

Qualifications

About You

  • Experience: Some Head Office experience in Visual Merchandising, preferably within the Beauty or Retail industries. Experience working with VM suppliers and retail partners is advantageous.
  • Communication Skills: An excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with stakeholders and articulates ideas confidently.
  • Organizational Excellence: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Adaptable & Creative: Thrives in fast-paced environments, thinks creatively, and generates innovative solutions.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Enjoys working as part of a team but is equally effective working independently.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator). Experience with Sketch-Up is a plus.
