Visual Merchandising Manager EMEA | London | Consumer Electronics

An exciting opportunity to take ownership of the physical retail experience for a rapidly growing, premium consumer brand across Europe.

We are partnering with a fast-growing, design-led consumer brand entering an exciting phase of international expansion. With an established presence across major European retail partners and ambitious plans for further growth, the business is looking for an EMEA Visual Merchandising Manager to take ownership of how the brand comes to life across physical retail.

This newly created role offers genuine ownership and visibility. You will take visual merchandising programmes from concept and design through to production, logistics, installation and ongoing maintenance, ensuring every customer touchpoint delivers a consistent, premium brand experience.

Working across multiple markets and some of Europe's leading retailers, this role combines creative thinking, project management, commercial responsibility and hands-on execution.

The Opportunity

The business is rapidly expanding its retail presence across Europe, working with major national retailers, premium department stores and specialist partners.

As the footprint grows, so does the complexity of delivering a consistent brand experience across different retail environments, countries and formats.

You will sit at the heart of this expansion, acting as the key link between global brand strategy and local EMEA execution.

From permanent shop-in-shop installations and high-traffic retail bays to promotional displays, seasonal activity and new product launches, you'll ensure the physical expression of the brand is delivered to an exceptional standard.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys end-to-end ownership and wants to see the impact of their work across a rapidly expanding European retail estate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced visual merchandising or retail design professional who is equally comfortable discussing creative concepts and commercial budgets as they are getting into the detail of production, installation and execution.

You'll ideally bring:

  • 8+ years' experience across visual merchandising, retail design, retail environments or fixture programme management.
  • Proven experience delivering end-to-end retail display or fixture programmes across multiple European markets.
  • Experience working with major retail partners and navigating different retail formats and requirements.
  • Strong experience managing CAPEX/OPEX budgets, forecasting, supplier negotiations and purchase-order processes.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple complex rollouts simultaneously.
  • Strong experience managing external suppliers, fabricators, logistics providers and installation partners.
  • The confidence to work across a matrix organisation and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • A highly organised and detail-oriented approach, combined with strong commercial awareness.
  • A willingness to travel across EMEA, with travel expected to be around 20%.
  • Experience within premium consumer, electronics, lifestyle, luxury, design-led or other highly branded retail environments would be particularly relevant.
  • Knowledge of tools such as Smartsheet, Asana, Monday.com, SketchUp or Adobe Creative Suite would be advantageous, as would additional European language skills.

The Person

You'll be someone who can move comfortably between the strategic and practical.

  • One minute you'll be discussing regional rollout plans, budgets and brand standards; the next you'll be working through a fabrication issue, reviewing a prototype or solving an installation challenge in-store.
  • You won't want to sit purely at the conceptual level. You'll enjoy being close to the detail and taking ownership for getting things done.
  • You'll also be an excellent stakeholder manager - capable of building strong relationships internally while holding external partners and suppliers accountable for delivery.
  • Most importantly, you'll thrive in an environment where things move quickly, priorities evolve and there is significant opportunity to build processes rather than simply inherit them.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Own the physical expression of a premium global brand across EMEA.
  • Work with some of Europe's most recognised retail partners.
  • Have direct visibility and influence across major retail launches and programmes.
  • Build and professionalise the visual merchandising function as the business scales.
  • Work closely with senior commercial, creative and marketing stakeholders.
  • Combine creativity with genuine operational and commercial ownership.
  • Operate across multiple European markets rather than a single territory.
  • Make a tangible difference to how customers experience the brand in-store.
  • The culture is entrepreneurial, fast-paced and highly collaborative, with the freedom and responsibility that comes with joining a business experiencing significant international growth.

If you're an experienced visual merchandising or retail design professional looking for a role where you can genuinely build, own and influence the EMEA retail experience, we'd love to hear from you.
