Job Opportunity: Visual / Web Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Visual / Web Designer based in United Kingdom.

About the Role

This is a project-based opportunity for a talented designer to shape polished digital experiences across marketing websites and landing pages.

  • You will combine strong visual craft with user-centered thinking to create interfaces that are both engaging and highly usable.
  • Working within scalable design systems, you will take projects from early concepts and visual direction through to final developer hand-off.
  • You will collaborate with researchers, strategists, designers, developers, clients, and senior stakeholders in a remote international environment.
  • The role offers the opportunity to work on complex digital challenges for ambitious organizations across different stages of growth.
  • You will have significant ownership over your work while contributing to a collaborative culture that values autonomy, curiosity, and continuous learning.

Accountabilities

  • Design digital experiences across marketing websites, landing pages, and other digital touchpoints, from initial concepts through to final developer hand-off.
  • Define visual languages, design directions, interfaces, and visual assets that deliver consistent and engaging user experiences.
  • Create and maintain scalable design systems with thoughtful component structures, file organization, naming conventions, and workflows.
  • Develop wireframes, user flows, process flows, and site maps to communicate design concepts and solutions clearly.
  • Produce high-fidelity UI designs across desktop and mobile platforms, maintaining a high standard of visual quality and usability.
  • Translate research, user needs, and data-driven insights into practical and intuitive interface solutions.
  • Establish design guidelines, best practices, and standards that support consistency and scalability across projects.
  • Transform complex technical concepts and interfaces into clear, visually compelling assets, including product visuals and diagrams.
  • Consider motion and interaction as part of the design process and create experiences that feel engaging and purposeful.
  • Present design concepts, research insights, and milestone deliverables to internal teams, clients, and executive-level stakeholders.
  • Communicate design decisions clearly and build alignment and confidence around proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while taking ownership of assigned projects and deliverables.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of professional design experience, ideally within an agency, technology company, or freelance environment.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating polished, high-fidelity UI and web design work across desktop and mobile.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma is essential, with the ability to build structured, scalable, and collaborative design files.
  • Good working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong understanding of design systems, including components, typography, color, grids, and reusable patterns.
  • Ability to combine visual excellence with human-centered design principles, accessibility, scalability, platform considerations, and storytelling.
  • Experience translating research and user requirements into clear, practical interface solutions.
  • Understanding of agency workflows and the ability to work effectively within project-based environments.
  • Strong visual judgment and attention to detail, with a focus on simplicity, clarity, and usability.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills for working with international colleagues and clients.
  • Confidence presenting design concepts and research findings in client-facing meetings.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, independence, and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build consensus and bring stakeholders along with design decisions.
  • Open-minded, curious, and willing to learn from mistakes and continuously improve.
  • Experience creating interactive prototypes is a plus.
  • Animation or motion design skills are an additional advantage.
