The ambition of the Vitality Roses
The ambition of the Vitality Roses is not only to be recognised and respected as the world's best netball team, but as the world's best female sports team. This would see the Roses consistently competing for and winning major tournaments such as the Netball World Cup and Commonwealth Games, underpinned by world leading coaching and support - setting the standard for performance, leadership, culture and the experience of women in sport.

Therefore, England Netball is seeking a Roses Head Coach who can increase the probability of winning by developing a pool of world class female athletes who are not only physically and mentally robust, prepared in high-performance environments, and ready to meet the highest standards of international competition but also empowered to perform with confidence, purpose and authenticity.

The successful candidate will inherit one of the most successful periods in the Vitality Roses history, including a Netball World Cup silver medal, victories against every nation in the world's top five, and an established high-performance programme. The role begins immediately following the 2026 Commonwealth Games and at the start of preparations for the 2027 Netball World Cup.
Recent years have seen the growth of the Netball Super League in England and the development of the capacity of domestic Clubs to support our elite athletes. The Head Coach will be expected to play a significant role in evolving the relationship between the Clubs and the national programme, whilst providing direction to Clubs on the standards required to succeed on the international stage.
The challenge is to build upon the high standards and systems already established whilst evolving the programme to deliver sustained international success and ultimately England's first Netball World Cup title.

Location
The role will be based at Loughborough University, Leicestershire, England, where the majority of training camps will be held. Competition series and tournaments will be held elsewhere across England and overseas.
Travel
Extensive UK and international travel will be required.
The Recruitment Process and Timeline
- 4 September 2026 – Deadline for application and CV submission.
- 10 September – Stage 1 interview.
- 17 September – Stage 2 interview.
The successful candidate must be available to start the role from the start of January 2027 at the latest. Ideally, the successful candidate would be able to start by the end of October 2026 in order to contribute to the preparation for Roses competitive series in November/December 2026.
