About the Role

The Visual Merchandising & Trade Animation Manager UK is responsible for elevating the visibility, desirability and retail experience of Parfums de Marly and INITIO across the UK market.

Reporting to the UK Marketing Director and working closely with Global Trade Marketing, VM and Retail Design teams this role ensures the flawless execution of brand standards, launch initiatives and business priorities across all retail touchpoints.

Acting as a guardian of brand image, the VM & Trade Animation Manager translates global strategies into impactful local executions that strengthen brand equity, elevate client experience and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Visual Merchandising & Retail Excellence

  • Lead the implementation of global VM guidelines across the UK, ensuring best-in-class execution across every touchpoint.
  • Ensure a consistently elevated brand image across boutiques, counters, multi-brand environments and animations.
  • Manage planograms, POSM deployment and visual updates in line with marketing plan and business priorities.
  • Adapt and deploy merchandising solutions to meet retailer requirements while safeguarding brand standards.
  • Conduct store visits, VM audits and competitive reviews to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of all UK trade animations across both brands, from briefing through installation. Including animation tables, window displays, popups and special activations.
  • Act as a key contributor to trade animations, providing design and zoning recommendations tailored to each retail environment.
  • Partner closely with retailers, agencies and suppliers to ensure activations are delivered on time, on budget and in line with brand standards.
  • Continuously develop and diversify the local supplier and production network across the UK, ensuring access to the right capabilities, resources and partners to support business needs and operational agility.

New Openings & Renovations

  • Lead the VM implementation of new openings, renovations and permanent projects, from planning and recommendations through ordering and installation.
  • Coordinate retailers, agencies, production partners, suppliers and installers throughout all project phases.
  • Oversee on-site implementation and ensure flawless execution in line with brand standards, timelines and budgets.
  • Manage the deployment and maintenance of permanent merchandising elements across the market.
  • Build strong relationships with retail partners and act as the key point of contact for VM and retail execution topics.
  • Partner closely with Global teams to ensure alignment on priorities, deliverables and implementation standards.

Planning & Forecasting

  • Manage the annual VM & Trade Animation roadmap and budget for the UK market.
  • Consolidate forecasts for permanent and campaign POSM ensuring efficient resource planning and allocation.
  • Monitor budgets, timelines and supplier performance to drive operational excellence and investment efficiency.
  • Provide market insights, competitor intelligence and recommendations to continuously elevate retail execution and client experience.

Profile & Competencies

  • 5+ years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Trade Marketing, Retail Marketing or a related field.
  • Strong experience within luxury beauty, fragrance or fashion.
  • Strong aesthetic sensibility and understanding of luxury codes.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and solutions-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Understanding of retail design, production processes, materials, with the ability to challenge suppliers and agencies to ensure the best balance of quality, feasibility and budget.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and production specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Experience in budget management, forecasting and project planning.
