The Opportunity

Our Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) team based in Thornbury, Bristol have an exciting opportunity for a VMU Administrator where you will work closely with the VMU and wider engineering team to ensure fleet systems, records, and on-site compliance is maintained, controlled and documented.

This is a site-based role working within our VMU team and we want a dynamic and passionate individual who can join our team and support with fleet utilisation, cost save initiatives and legal compliance.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting into the VMU Service Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Ensure that systems and databases are maintained and accurately reflect fleet and asset allocation.
  • Work in collaboration with the engineering teams to ensure that fleet is available for service and maintenance, in accordance with rules and regulations.
  • Analyse data and produce reports relating to fleet utilization, identifying trends, opportunities for improvement and cost save initiatives.
  • Multiple system management ensuring alignment of fleet and assets, utilising systems such as CONNECT, Asset Register, Isotrack, Triscan, O’Licence etc.
  • Ensure that all sub-contractors are certified and have SLAs agreed prior to utilisation.
  • Support the Fleet Engineering Manager with additional ad hoc tasks as required.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in your application you will have proven administration or compliance experience, ideally within a Logistics and Supply Chain, Fleet, Vehicle Maintenance environment. You will be an excellent communicator and natural problem solver with the ability to build excellent working relationships at all levels. You will be highly organised and detailed focused with strong analytical skills, comfortable building reports and datasets and capable of using Microsoft Office packages such as Excel.

It would be desirable, however not essential if you have proven Fleet Administration or Transport Legal Compliance experience ideally within a fast-paced environment.

  • Working pattern: Any 5 of 7, working 40 hours per week.
