Job Title: Lead Architect - VCF Specialist

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Lead Architect to join a major project within the technology infrastructure industry. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge VCF design and upgrade initiatives, collaborating with diverse global teams and delivering high-impact outcomes. If you thrive in complex environments and enjoy leading technical delivery, this could be the perfect fit.

Contract Details

  • Pay Grade / Rate: Umbrella
  • Location: Remote with UK-wide travel
  • Clearance: SC clearance required

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience completing VCF 9.1 design(s)
  • Experience completing VCF 9.0.x/5.2.x design(s)
  • Proven track record in upgrade projects (VCF 5.x to VCF 9.x)
  • Broad technical knowledge of the VCF stack at infrastructure level (VCF/NSX/VCF Operations/VCF Automation/vSphere Supervisor/VCF Operations for Networks/VCF Ops HCX/VKS)
  • Deeper technical expertise in one or more of the above areas
  • Broad understanding of automation tooling (Ansible, Harness, Salt, Kubernetes, GitOps) and the software development lifecycle
  • Ability to collaborate with/support global remote teams across multiple cultures
  • Awareness and ability to navigate complexities/politics of multiple vendors and business entities

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as single point of contact for delivery teams, providing process and technical guidance
  • Assist and support partner architects in requirements and design workshops
  • Create and manage a Requirements Traceability Matrix to ensure business outcomes are delivered
  • Peer review designs and technical documentation alongside Governance Architect
  • Collaborate with Lead PM on project planning, forecasting, and reporting
  • Provide input for weekly reports, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and SteerCos
