This is a part-time position working 18.5 hours per week with a pro rata salary of up to £17,334 per annum.

We're looking for a passionate and engaging Vocational Trainer - Maths & Science to deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment that supports adult learners to develop essential maths and science skills, gain recognised qualifications and achieve their personal, educational and employment goals.

What You'll Be Doing
You'll deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences that develop learners' confidence, maths and science skills and achievement.
Working with adult learners from a variety of backgrounds, you will:
- Deliver engaging learning that supports learner achievement and progression.
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work and learning resources that meet learner needs and programme objectives.
- Prepare learners for assessment and support them to achieve successful outcomes.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs and remove barriers to learning.
- Monitor learner progress, provide constructive feedback and support continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate attendance, progress and achievement records using ACL systems.
- Contribute to quality improvement activities and maintain up-to-date vocational and teaching knowledge.

- Delivers accredited Maths & Science qualifications, including Functional Skills where applicable.
- Understands how to support learners with differing abilities and backgrounds.

- Is committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences and learner outcomes.

- Relevant qualifications and/or substantial experience in Maths & Science.

Desirable
- A recognised teaching qualification (AET, CET, DET, PGCE or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience delivering accredited Maths & Science qualifications, including Functional Skills.
- Experience of learner assessment and progress monitoring.
- Experience delivering adult learning programmes.
- Knowledge of current curriculum requirements and assessment approaches.
- Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs or barriers to achievement.

What to expect
Our recruitment process is made up of 1 stage.
- 1-hour Micro Teach Presentation, this will be in-person where you'll have the opportunity to showcase your teaching approach and subject expertise. Successful candidates will then progress to a 1-hour Competency and Behavioural-Based Interview, allowing us to learn more about your experience, skills, and how you align with our values and the requirements of the role.
