Are you a driven, commercially minded salesperson with a passion for content and the fast-evolving media landscape? This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to play a key, revenue-generating role in a fast-paced start-up at the cutting edge of the film and TV distribution industry.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Rocket Booster, now a Sphere Abacus company, provides a VOD and FAST distribution service to enable rightsholders to efficiently monetise their catalogue via digital platforms, distributing 1,000s of hours of scripted and unscripted content. In addition, RB also manages a suite of YouTube and FAST channels.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The VOD & FAST Sales Executive will report to the Commercial Director and take ownership of sales efforts across global FAST and VOD platforms, proactively identifying new commercial opportunities, negotiating deals, and growing revenue from an expanding content catalogue. The position offers a hybrid work environment (one office day per week) and requires a motivated, self-starting individual with a genuine passion for the entertainment industry and a track record of closing sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner Management: Own and grow relationships with platform partners, proactively identifying, pitching, and closing new commercial opportunities to increase monetization of content.
- FAST Channel Sales: Drive viewership and distribution growth across FAST channels, negotiating directly with platform, tech and ad sales partners to secure and expand deals.
- Channel Development: Lead the curation, pitching, and launch of new FAST channels, coordinating operational and technical delivery end-to-end.
- Content Marketing: Own promotion and PR strategy to boost revenue and platform awareness.
- Performance Analysis: Own revenue reporting and forecasting, tracking key performance metrics and presenting insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Market Research: Monitor industry trends, including AI developments, and competitor activity to inform commercial strategy.
- Rightsholder Support: Work with the Commercial Director to manage the relationship with existing rightsholders and source new rightsholders.
- Administrative Support: Maintain tracking sheets and rights management systems for operational efficiency as well as limited diary management.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven track record in sales, ideally 2+ years’ experience in TV, film, or streaming distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, negotiate, and close commercial deals, with strong knowledge of TV and film distribution.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with the confidence to negotiate directly with senior external stakeholders.
- Collaborative, flexible, and confident team player with attention to detail, and a genuine passion for entertainment content.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
