Location: Location Independent

Working hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday
Security Clearance: This position requires you to hold or the ability and willingness to obtain a UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

As a Location Independent Worker, for operational reasons you may be required to perform your duties, either temporarily or permanently, from any of our offices or customer sites within a reasonable geographic area of your home address. Our “Office in a Box” home working kit will provide you with everything you need, no matter where you are.

What you'll do
As a Pre-Sales Solution Consultant, you'll play a pivotal role in helping some of the UK's largest organisations achieve their business goals through innovative technology solutions. Working closely with customers, account teams, technical specialists, and partners, you'll shape high-value opportunities, influence strategic decisions, and deliver solutions that can genuinely transform the way businesses operate.

You will:
- Partner with customers to understand their business challenges, objectives, and future ambitions, translating these into practical technology solutions.
- Lead discovery and requirements-gathering activities, becoming the trusted advisor throughout the solution design process.
- Design commercially viable, end-to-end solutions across technologies such as WAN, LAN, Unified Communications, IoT, Cloud, and Security.
- Own and develop solution proposals, ensuring they meet customer requirements while being scalable, deliverable, and profitable.
- Support large, strategic bids by providing technical expertise, solution documentation, cost models, and customer presentations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, subject matter experts, vendors, and partners to create integrated solutions that deliver real business value.
- Build strong relationships with customers, acting as a key technical contact during the pre-sales lifecycle.
- Ensure designs are aligned to industry standards, operational requirements, and successful deployment outcomes.
- Help identify and generate new business opportunities by proactively uncovering customer needs and positioning Vodafone's capabilities effectively.
- Present and articulate complex technical solutions confidently to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Who you are
- Experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, solution consulting, solution architecture, or technical consulting role.
- Strong knowledge of one or more key technologies such as WAN, LAN, Unified Communications, IoT, Cloud, or Security.
- The ability to understand business drivers and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Experience supporting bids, proposals, and commercial discussions within a complex sales environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage at multiple levels within customer organisations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Experience gathering, analysing, and documenting business and technical requirements.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across virtual, cross-functional, and global teams.
- Knowledge of business case development and benefits realisation.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Office 365, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of the pre-contract sales lifecycle and solution design methodologies.
- Knowledge of ITIL and public sector procurement frameworks would be advantageous.
- Eligible and willing to obtain and maintain DV Security Clearance.
