Voice & Network Engineer - Gloucester (hybrid) £40k-£47k + on-call allowance & Excellent Benefits
We're working with a large, multi-site organisation seeking a Voice & Network Engineer to join an established infrastructure team.
This is a varied role supporting both voice and network technologies across a complex environment. The successful candidate will be involved in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimisation of critical communications and networking infrastructure, with a particular focus on voice technologies.
What you'll be doing as the successful Voice & Network Engineer
- Supporting and maintaining voice and network infrastructure across multiple sites.
- Investigating, diagnosing, and resolving network and telephony issues.
- Installing, configuring, and upgrading network and communications hardware and software.
- Managing system backups and supporting disaster recovery processes.
- Monitoring network performance and producing operational reports.
- Supporting LAN, WAN, SIP and unified communications environments.
- Working closely with suppliers, stakeholders, and internal technology teams to resolve issues and deliver improvements.
- Participating in an on-call rota to support business-critical services.

What we're looking for in the Voice & Network Engineer
- Experience supporting both voice and networking environments.
- Cisco CUCM
- Cisco UCCE
- Microsoft Teams Voice
- SIP Telephony
- Voice Networking
- LAN/WAN Technologies
- Experience using network monitoring and management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively with wider technical teams.
Nice to have
- Cisco switching and routing experience.
- Firewall technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto or Check Point.
- Cisco ISE, 802.1x or MAB authentication.
- Wireless networking experience.
