Role/Team overview
The Networks Software & Data Science is a multidisciplinary team that builds and operates the data, analytics and software tools that help Sky plan, optimise and operate its voice and mobile services.
We’re looking for a Voice Routing & Analytics Manager to own call routing plans across Sky’s network and analyse voice and mobile traffic, cost and performance data. You’ll also shape the development of Kubrick, Sky’s in-house Least Cost Routing platform, by translating routing expertise into practical requirements for better tooling and automation.
This role would suit an experienced telecoms analyst who wants to broaden their data, analytics and automation skills supported by data scientists and software developers while staying close to real network and commercial decisions.
What you’ll do
- Design, deploy and optimise call routing plans across Sky’s voice and mobile networks.
- Analyse voice and mobile traffic, cost and performance data to identify trends, risks and optimisation opportunities.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards that turn complex data into clear, actionable insight.
- Define business requirements for Kubrick, Sky’s Least Cost Routing platform, to improve routing tooling and automation.
- Work with data scientists to improve traffic and cost forecasting, and support more advanced routing analysis.
- Support Commercial, Carrier Relations and Operations teams with insight, analysis and subject matter expertise.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
