Role: Voids Administrative Assistant
Contract Type: 12 month fixed term contract or internal secondment opportunity
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Worker Type: Hybrid
Salary: Grade C - £25,583 (level 1) rising to £26,403 (level 3) per annum
Location: Harvey Road, NG8 3BB

About the Role
As a Voids Administrative Assistant within Nottingham City Council’s Lettings team, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient and customer-focused delivery across Housing Services. You will provide high-quality administrative and clerical support to help the service run smoothly and meet its targets.
In this role, you will manage a range of tasks including maintaining accurate records, updating databases and appointment diaries, preparing performance information, and supporting meetings through agenda coordination. You will respond to enquiries from colleagues, partners, and residents by phone, email, and letter, ensuring timely and effective resolution. You will also work closely with energy suppliers and third-party organisations to help resolve metering and arrears issues for empty properties.
You will use a variety of digital systems and office equipment and will support new colleagues by sharing knowledge of systems and processes. With a commitment to confidentiality, data protection, and excellent customer service, you will contribute to a positive and inclusive working environment.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience of coordinating and maintaining appointments and diaries of large teams within a fast-paced, pressurised environment.
- Proven ability of providing a comprehensive administration service to a good standard of numeracy and literacy both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to demonstrate effective communication face to face, in meetings, and on the telephone when dealing with a wide range of customers including tenants, colleagues.
- Ability to remain self-motivated whilst effectively managing a diverse workload under pressure to meet specified targets and deadlines.
- Ability to develop and present written or verbal information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to use computer software programmes to ensure validity of data and input relevant data.
