The Role
You'll be the technical backbone of our voice platform — configuring, deploying, and maintaining VoIP and telephony systems for business clients, and making sure call quality, uptime, and security stay where they should be.
Day to day, you'll:
- Configure and deploy hosted VoIP, IP-PBX and UC platforms for new and existing customers
- Monitor network and voice performance, diagnose faults, and resolve them before customers feel them
- Provide second-line support to our internal teams and to customers directly
- Lead migrations from legacy PBX and ISDN systems onto modern VoIP
- Contribute to solution design on larger opportunities, working alongside the sales and project teams
- Configure routers, firewalls, VLANs and QoS to keep voice traffic clean across customer networks
- Document configurations, build procedures, and help raise the standard of how we deliver
- Work with vendors and carriers to resolve escalations and keep our platform stable

What You'll Need
- Solid VoIP experience, including SIP and RTP, and confidence troubleshooting at protocol level
- Telephony skills — PBX administration, call routing, and integration with contact centre or UC platforms
- Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS, and firewall/router configuration for voice traffic
- Strong diagnostic instincts — able to read logs, isolate a fault, and fix it properly rather than patch it
- Clear written and verbal communication; you'll be explaining technical issues to non-technical customers
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to customer sites

Nice to Have
- Experience with hosted/cloud VoIP or UCaaS platforms
- Networking or VoIP certifications (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Background in UK business telecoms or IT infrastructure support
